Tour Highlights
1. Meeting Point – Ebisucho Station, Exit 3
We’ll begin at Ebisucho Station, Exit 3, where your guide will introduce you to the fascinating history of Shinsekai, an area modeled after Paris and New York in the early 20th century.

2. Janjan Yokocho Alley
First, we’ll head into Janjan Yokocho Alley, a nostalgic shopping street lined with traditional eateries and retro game arcades. Known for its lively atmosphere, Janjan Yokocho is the perfect spot to sample kushikatsu (fried skewers), a local delicacy and Shinsekai favorite. You’ll have time to try a few skewers and experience the friendly, down-to-earth charm of the area’s restaurants.

3. Retro Streets and Showa-Era Vibes
Strolling through Shinsekai, you’ll see vibrant murals, vintage storefronts, and neon signs that make this area so distinct. Your guide will share stories of Shinsekai’s Showa-era (1926-1989) culture and point out the unique details that bring Osaka’s past to life. Expect fun photo ops as we explore the colorful streets!

4. Local Shops and Souvenirs
We’ll make a stop at a couple of local shops where you can browse and buy quirky souvenirs, from Osaka-themed snacks to retro trinkets unique to Shinsekai. Your guide will help you find one-of-a-kind keepsakes that capture the spirit of this nostalgic neighborhood.

5. Tsutenkaku Tower – Tour End Point
We’ll end the tour at the entrance of Tsutenkaku Tower, the famous “tower reaching to heaven.” Originally built in 1912, Tsutenkaku remains a beloved symbol of Osaka. While entry isn’t included in the tour, your guide will explain the highlights of the observation deck and how to find the statue of Billiken, the “God of Happiness.” You’re welcome to continue exploring the tower on your own after the tour concludes.

With a maximum of 8 people per group, you’ll enjoy a relaxed and personal experience.
